Oh, how I love a good Palm Springs engagement session and this one did not disappoint! Will and Kamryn are so laid-back & totally down for anything (aka my dream clients). My favorite part about destination engagement sessions is that they feel very relaxed and I get to have quality time with my couples exploring and really getting to know each other, which in turn leads to some of the best photos. We wanted to escape San Diego’s “May gray” and within a 2.5 hour drive, a tropical desert oasis awaited us in Palm Springs. From the mid-century modern architecture, palm tree lined streets, and stunning mountain views, Palm Springs is the perfect engagement session location.
To start off the shoot, we explored the Old Las Palmas neighborhood, which is a classic Palm Springs spot with the most unique retro houses. For the second location (and after some intense google map’s location scouting), I found an awesome secluded desert area. We were able to capture a real desert scenery at this location and Kamryn’s light blue dress popped amongst the neutral backdrop.
At the final location, our two lovebirds went for a swim at Les Cactus boutique hotel. Let me tell you, Les Cactus is hands down my favorite boutique hotel in Palm Springs. The pink exterior walls, iconic saguaro cactus’, and mid-century modern architecture creates such a fun, yet serene environment. The photos we captured in the pool are UNREAL (& spicyyyy). When I asked Kamryn and Will what word describes their love best, they said “irresistible” & I think these photos capture just that.

What is your FAVORITE memory from your session?
Our favorite memory from the session was showing up to each location and being awestruck by the beauty. Each spot was prettier than the next. We were so grateful for all of the research and planning Erin did and so happy we got to just really enjoy the moment together.
What is one piece of advice you would give to future brides planning their engagement session?
Have fun and enjoy it!! Being engaged is such a special time with your partner. It is a time where you get to imagine your future together and celebrate your love. The engagement session captures that love and intimacy between the two of you. Be authentic to yourselves. Create a Pinterest board for inspo, take photos somewhere special to you both, bring something that has significant meaning, or wear what you feel comfortable in, and let the photographer do the rest.
How did you feel when looking through your final engagement gallery?
When looking through the final engagement gallery, I felt like a little kid in a candy shop. I loved every single photo and cannot pick a favorite. Will and I looked through the photos together and it was so special to share excitement and giddiness. These photos are even better than we could have imagined and we are so grateful you captured us in this special stage of life.

Erin is incredible. She walks you through every step of the way. Erin is fun, warm, welcoming, reassuring, and will make you feel so comfortable in front of a camera. She is organized and plans out the photoshoot and provides recommendations on outfits/what to bring. Her entire vibe is amazing. You feel like you have known Erin forever and she will guide you the entire photoshoot.
