Modern Minimal New Years Eve Wedding

Talk about a PARTY. We LOVEEEE a New Years Eve wedding!!! This was such a fun wedding full of modern, minimal, sophisticated vibes. Aidenn and Cody are the sweetest couple and they had such an amazing group of people surrounding and celebrating them. Aidenn’s bridesmaids were her younger sister and girl cousins and they created the sweetest energy/getting ready moments – they were sooo excited for her. Aidenn is a girls girl, through and through. She is so warm and welcoming, by the end of the wedding I felt like I was photographing my little sister’s wedding.

Aidenn and Cody got hitched at The Gin at Hidalgo Falls – a beautiful industrial, yet modern venue in Navasota, Texas. An old restored 1950’s cotton gin, surrounded by farmland and near my alma mater, Texas A&M (WHOOP!). It’s always so nostalgic to come back to the Bryan/College Station area. I loveeeed the mix of the vintage industrial wedding venue paired with the modern and minimal black and white decor, white roses, and baby’s breath.

It was blue hour during the ceremony at The Gin and it made for the most beautiful gradient after the sun set behind the venue. One of my favorite moments of the day was Aidenn’s grandpa singing Amazing Grace during the ceremony while the guests passed around their rings as a blessing – there were lots of tears flowing. A ring warming ceremony is a tradition that involves passing around the wedding bands to guests. Upon receiving the rings, guests “warm” them up with a prayer for the couple’s future together – SO sweet.

The night ended with a WILD PARTY and a balloon drop at 12 to ring in the New Year. If you are thinking about booking your wedding on New Years Eve, DO IT!!! (& call me lol). It was the best night ever!

FILM

I LOVE the film photos from this wedding! You can add a 35MM Film package to your wedding package. This includes the film, processing, and scans that will be included in your online gallery!

WORDS FROM THE BRIDE AND GROOM:

What is your FAVORITE memory or moment from your wedding day?

There are so many special moments from our wedding! The dreams and expectations leading up to our wedding day are no competition to just being there in the moment, soaking up all of the love, and flourishing in the energy of the entire day. Reading our vows together in private was maybe my favorite thing. Cody couldn’t even read his vows because his tears were blocking his vision LOL. It was the sweetest and funniest moment.

What is one piece of advice you would give to future brides planning their wedding?

My advice is to just enjoy your day! The planning is officially done the day of the wedding and it is your time to have the best day ever, whatever that means to you. To me, it was extremely important to spend time with my family and friends. All of my favorite girls were able to just laugh, cry, and hang out before being even thinking about the schedule.

How did you feel when looking through your final Wedding Gallery?

I couldn’t believe the pictures were mine. They were beyond my expectations. You listen and understand your clients vision and gift it to them seamlessly!

If you were to recommend me to your best friend what would you say?

You have to book Erin! Her pictures speak for themselves, but spending your day with Erin as your own paparazzi bring so much fun, warmth, and ease to your day.
